The countdown is on for the first Hartlepool Business Awards in four years after judges announced the shortlists for the ten categories.
Popular local business leader Simon Corbett, who will be hosting the ceremony along with successful entrepreneur Christine Hall, has hailed the nomination process a huge success.
Simon, recently named the new chair of the refreshed Hartlepool Economic & Business Forum, anticipates a night to remember at the Borough Hall on Friday, November 17. Tickets are going fast so people are urged to snap them up quickly for a prestigious event to be held in association with headline sponsor the Plastic Furniture Company, owned by local charity the PFC Trust’s founders Frances and Patrick Connolly.
Simon, the CEO of Orangebox Training Solutions, said: “We are really pleased with the volume of applications for the first awards since 2019, and it’s great to see the interest from local businesses. The judges had the unenviable task of selecting shortlists for each category with lots of great nominations, those who have narrowly missed out were so close to being involved and potentially winning the awards.”
“We’re all really looking forward to a fantastic night celebrating the incredible achievements for Hartlepool’s business community. We want it to be a night to remember and it would be great to see all of those shortlisted bring along their friends and families to make this event as memorable as it can be.”
The Hartlepool Business Awards is also a moment where the business community can purchase tables and listen to inspirational stories and be part of the celebrations. The return of the awards this year is due to the support of Hartlepool College of Further Education, Orangebox Training, Hartlepool Borough Council and Rephrase PR & Media Services.
Sponsorship has been secured from Mark Lloyd Jewellers, Tilly, Bailey & Irvine Law, J&B Recycling, Rise Tees Valley CIC, Water Babies Tees Valley, Durham & Darlington, British Business Bank, Teesworks, Hartlepool Sixth Form College and Northern Utility Solutions. Hartlepool Life is also an official media partner.
There’s still time to book tickets to attend the awards ceremony. Tickets are priced at £60 per person and can be booked at www.hartlepoolbusinessforum.co.uk/product-category/tickets/. Each ticket holder will receive a drinks reception and three-course meal with wine.
