Qualitech Environmental Services is proud to announce its role as a Silver Sponsor for this year’s flagship Hartlepool Business Awards.
The prestigious showcase, organised by the Hartlepool Business Forum, serves as a vital platform for collaboration, networking and regional pride – and the evening celebrates the very best of the local economy.
The main event will take place on Thursday, October 15, at the beautiful Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield.
For Qualitech, the sponsorship marks a significant step in a growing relationship with the region, aligning with the company’s major expansion plans within the town.
Danny Casey, managing director of Qualitech, highlighted the importance of the event for the local business ecosystem.

That pending investment is the proposed Tofts Road Energy Recovery Facility (TRERF). The £65m project aims to construct and operate a facility providing capacity to treat hazardous waste arising in the Tees Valley and across the UK.
By processing this waste domestically, the facility will significantly reduce the amount of waste currently shipped overseas for treatment. It will also generate domestic energy, helping to reduce the UK’s reliance on unstable global energy supplies.
The energy recovered is expected to generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of up to 2,000 homes every year, while heat and steam could also be made available to nearby businesses.
The project promises to create 45 construction jobs over a three-year build period, followed by 40 permanent, skilled roles once operational.

Ahead of submitting a formal planning application to the council later this year, Qualitech is actively seeking the views of the local community and surrounding businesses regarding the TRERF project.
