NE Security (NES) has stepped forward as the platinum sponsor for this year’s Hartlepool Business Awards and is encouraging the town to get behind the event.
The prestigious showcase, organised by the Hartlepool Business Forum, has received a massive vote of confidence with the local security firm taking the headline spot.
The main event will take place on Thursday, October 15 at the beautiful Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield. Serving as a vital platform for collaboration, networking and regional pride, the evening celebrates the very best of the local economy.
Organisers are now urging the business community to get involved before the June 30 nomination deadline.
For NES, choosing to back the awards as a platinum sponsor was personal. The family-run company started over 25 years ago with just one contract and 15 employees.
Through hard work, dedication and local support, it has grown into a major regional employer with around 175 people on its payroll.
NES contract manager Mark Lloyd said: “As a proud Hartlepool business with deep roots in the local community, this was an easy decision for us.
“Having won the Best Service Sector Business award ourselves last year, we understand first-hand the value these awards bring in recognising the achievements, ambition and resilience of local businesses.
“Sponsoring the event allows us to give something back to the business community that has supported our journey for more than two decades.”
With the entry deadline fast approaching, NES strongly encourages other companies – no matter their size – to put themselves forward or nominate a peer.
“We would strongly encourage any business or individual to put themselves forward. Many companies underestimate the impact they have or the achievements they have made,” Mark said.
“Entering the awards is not just about winning – it is an opportunity to reflect on your success, recognise your team’s hard work and showcase your business to the wider community.
“For us, winning last year was a fantastic moment and gave everyone within the company a real sense of pride. Whether you are a small start-up or a long-established organisation, these awards celebrate the people and businesses helping our area thrive.”
The awards ceremony continues – which has attracted global nuclear reactor and fuel design leader X-energy as gold sponsor for a second year – to be a cornerstone event for the area, promoting an environment where local enterprises can connect and inspire one another.
“From a sponsor’s perspective, the business awards are incredibly important for the region,” Mark said.
“They shine a spotlight on the talent, innovation and determination that exists across Hartlepool and the wider North-East. Events like this bring businesses together, create new connections and inspire future growth.
“As a family-run company employing local people, we are passionate about supporting opportunities that promote and celebrate local success.
“The awards are a positive reminder of the strength of our business community, and we are proud to play a leading role in supporting them this year.”
